My name is Tal though I’m better known as Soap online. I’m a Colorado based artist and have been making plushies since 2011. I originally learned how to sew off of YouTube and the rest is history.
I specialize in custom plushies of original characters and anthro fursonas. When it comes to custom plushies I love seeing what kinds of characters people want turned into a physical item they can hold. Each plush is sort of like a puzzle and it’s my job to figure out how to make it!
From simple designs to incredibly detailed I love to make them all.
Soap is my main fursona and the face of my plush brand. He was made back in 2018 and helped me get into the furry fandom. Growing up, dragons were my favorite animal and I am a plush maker, so a plush dragon fursona just made sense.
At the time of creating him I was attending a graphic design school. As an inside joke I made his color palette CMYK, the same color profile as the printers we worked with. Being a plushie, my headcanon is that he cannot eat normal food. He doesn't have guts and the food would easily expire. With that in mind, the only thing he can eat are small inanimate objects and candy! (Or something with a long shelf life).
The exclusive diet of candy and toys has turned his teeth black overtime. Soap is also a bit of an edgelord. He tries his best to look cool but how intimidating can a plush dragon really be?
